Teaching Bio & Background
I began my yoga practice in 2005 and have been on my mat for over fifteen years. And believe me, I know all too well the ups and downs of someone committed to a regular, life-long yoga practice.
My training to be your teacher is extensive and will never end. I am a life-long learner and am always looking for ways to expand my knowledge to assist others on the path.
Teaching yoga for close to a decade now, I recently completed a 200-hour RYT with Carmen Aguilar in the summer of 2020. Prior to that I completed 500-hour Original Hot Yoga Teacher Training, 120-hour Next Level Intermediate Ghosh Yoga Training, and Hot 26 Plus Training.
Also, in the fall of 2019 I became a Certified RAD Yoga Mobility Specialist, specializing in self myofascial release techniques and have been an official USA Yoga Coach for competitive yoga athletes since 2017.
Some further background to cover, includes graduating in the year 2000 with a degree in Education which gives me a broad range of teaching experience through the years, working with students in multiple disciplines, in both one-to-one and group settings. With a true understanding of individual learning styles, I can quickly assess how you learn to connect with you in the way you learn best.
The students I love to work with are interested in learning good technique to take their practice further, have a drive to learn more about yoga and themselves, and are willing to push at their boundaries and work hard to hit their goals.
It is an honor to work with the students that seek me out and I look forward to connecting with you at an online group class, workshop, or in a private session.

What to Expect When You Attend Tori's Online Classes:
My classes are tough and I expect you to do your best while moving through the postures. Please know, that your best will change from day to day. I can tell when you need a push, or if you just need gentle encouragement.
Each session I teach is a therapeutic yoga class and has been carefully thought out and sequenced to give you quick results while preventing injury. Expect to sweat and feel challenged. If you commit to attending class regularly, expect to see big breakthroughs in your practice and in your life.
