We made it to December! You’ve found a home practice and created space to roll out your mat no matter what the world was serving up that day. And, you might have created a whole new yoga family, connected with the people you practice with in new ways, or have shared your practice with friends and family.
So, now it’s time to celebrate. And, my holiday gift guide is here to help you do just that.
Whether you’re looking for the perfect gift for your yogi friends or to further invest in your own practice, these are a few of my favorite things that make practicing at home and online an absolute dream.
Getting the right mat is imperative.
And, my favorite is by far the Manduka Pro Lite. It’s sticky, it’s grippy, and if you take care of it, will last you a lifetime. It the best!
If you know me, you know I am super-duper into self-myofascial release techniques. They are peppered into my Friday Restorative Classes and I often give workshops on how to use these healing techniques to increase your mobility and release trigger points.
My favorite tools by far are RAD. Why? They are super high quality and their free app is awesome and will help you get the most out of the tools you purchase.
What would I purchase first? The Recovery Rounds or the RAD Rounds. They are the most versatile out of all of their products. But, be warned they’re super addictive. You’ll end up with a whole set bit by bit.
This space heater is awesome.
I no longer crave crazy amounts of heat, but I love a good 80 to 85-degree room. And, this heater delivers. It's the De'Longhi Mica Thermic Panel Heater.
Yoga blocks and good strap will make any yogi swoon.
Remember that simple is better. I think blocks by Manduka and a standard strap from Tumaz (they have the prettiest color combos) are great choices.
Heart Talk by Cleo Wade
This book was the November Selection for the MMOYM Book Club and it’s the perfect gift for any yogi. Full of daily inspiration through poems and essays, this beautiful book is something that will sit on my meditation table for years to come. It’s like having a good friend nearby to help you get your head on straight and see the world and your life through fresh eyes. You, or your yogi friend, will love it.
Grab a Class Pack
And, if you or your yogi friend are all geared up, why not jump into a livestream class! The New Student Special offers 5 consecutive days of yoga for just $30 USD. For the five days of your choosing you will also gain access to the class recordings, so if you can’t make class live on any of the days included, you can still take class. It’s the best way to experience what my monthly program is all about!
So, just a few of my favorite things. I hope this holiday gift guide helps with your seasonal shopping, or to help get you the best tools for your practice, too.
Happy Holidays All! May we meet on the mat someday soon!
